Why is music important?
Using music in your play supports early development in infants and toddlers. Infant and toddler music activities often inherently support cognitive, communicative, motor/sensory, and social/emotional development.
Music has wonderful, positive effects in early childhood – and it doesn’t have to be complicated! In fact, even the most “non-musical” of us can participate (or even lead our children) in musical experiences.
Take a look at this 1-minute video for three easy ways to use the simple song, “Mary Had A Little Lamb” with your infant or toddler.
See for yourself how musical activities can promote early communication development!
