We can’t parent in isolation. Discover how to use the time, energy, & materials you already have to support your child (instead of buying all the fancy toys you’re being shown on social media).
Create an enriching environment…
… without flashcards, expensive toys, or flashing lights, bells, and whistles.
Discover new and simple ways to have FUN with your child,
…while simultaneously targeting appropriate areas of development.
You know you should “connect,” but you’re exhausted – gathering internal resources to do anything “extra” for your child feels impossible.
The internet feels like fire hose of information – all you want to know is what is age appropriate, and how you stimulate your little one besides singing “Twinkle, Twinkle” again.
You’ve read a lot of “no’s” and “don’ts” for parenting – and you don’t want to be the authoritarian nay-saying parent… but what’s the other thing supposed to look like?
You already have the resources to give your baby the “right” stimulation, play, and interaction to thrive.
(and you can do it with the materials you already have — no extra time or energy needed)
And though we’re more physically distant than we’re used to, there are ways to get gentle support so you don’t want to pull your hair out…
And reassurance that you’re doing a really good job (and insight into how others are playing with their little ones).
✅ But if you’re the kind of person looking for a place where nobody’s giving you the side eye with their judgment about how you carry your baby (or 1571 other divisive topics in early parenthood)…
✅ If you want to meet others that allow you to put the idea of being a “Pinterest mom” to rest (and instead just give yourself a freakin’ break)…
✅ If you’d like to meet virtually with other families (who may not have showered for multiple days, who are feeding their little ones, changing diapers, and sharing real life) instead of comparing yourself to unattainable instagram or facebook posts…
✅ And if you’d like to discover different ways to interact with your baby, and find resources to help you recognize the little things you can do to help them learn…
Then you’re the kind of person we’d like to invite to participate in:
An Interactive Baby / Caregiver Family Enrichment Workshop Focusing on Development & Play
We’ll use the 4-pillar framework of the Learn With Less® Curriculum (play, talk, sing, and move)
To address 4 major areas of infant development (cognitive, communicative, motor, & social/emotional)
Use what you already have to provide the appropriate support: how to provide an appropriate environment for your baby’s development, staying just one step ahead to present enough challenge.
Find the confidence you’re doing enough: how to know (once and for all) that you’re doing “enough” for your baby's physical and mental development each day.
Maintain a life balance: find out how to do the tough job of balancing home, work, and caregiving duties while also setting aside time when your baby is awake to actually focus on fun and educational things to do.
Relax and enjoy spending time: discover the confidence in what you have to offer without needing to find the newest and best “educational” toy.
Simply be present: discover how to find the energy to be present with your little one even when you’re feeling exhausted and depleted from work and everything else.
Gain access to others asking the same questions: how to feel like you know what your next steps are – with a sounding board of other caregivers and professionals – even if you feel like you’re isolated at home with a tiny dictator.
WHEN: The workshop will be held on Saturday March 27 at 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern
Various concepts, songs, and activities will be covered, so you’ll want to watch and participate to maximize the impact of the activities with your child.
Your session will be recorded and uploaded so that you can benefit even if you can’t make it live (due to nap time, diaper disasters, or whatever else!).
WHERE: Our private Zoom room. The link will be emailed to you prior to the session.
SPACE IS LIMITED: We're capping this workshop at 10 people. Once it fills up, we'll be adding more dates.
WHO IT’S FOR: Any parent/caregiver (and their baby, 0-12 months), who wants to release the overwhelm and go from “winging it” to “winning” parenthood… and who know that the fastest way to learn is by doing.
Think your baby might be napping or unable to attend live? That works, too – you can attend on your own, or watch the recording later! Hooray for virtual classes!
* If you are a professional/educator working with children and families and NOT also a parent/caregiver of an infant, then this is NOT the program for you: Instead, I recommend this program (click here)!
“Learn With Less® harnesses the power of play, music, movement, and language, and uses what you have to empower families’ confidence in their ability to connect with their children.”

Allie Glazer née Matuszewski, M.S., CCC-SLP/L is an Early Intervention specialist, who has extensive experience with the birth-5 population. Her passion is working with tiny humans and their community, because it takes a village to best support a family.
She provides individual speech, language, and feeding therapy, group infant and toddler enrichment classes, as well as parent/caregiver coaching and resource exploration.
Allie is a life-long learner who strives to provide fun and functional services! She is a Speech-Language Pathologist who has worked across the lifespan in school, medical, and home health settings.
Originally from the Chicagoland area, Allie has enjoyed exploring the San Francisco Bay Area since 2016. When not providing remote teletherapy, she can be found hiking, making a mess in her kitchen, and trying to convince her cats to show up for work.
"Thank you so much Allie! I think I honestly have focused so much that he has been bored with his toys and thinking about all new ones when the reality is there is so much we can do with what we already have...just in new ways. And focus more on going off of what he plays with and follow his lead. It was very helpful and insightful!" - (Parent of an infant)
"I had a tendency to plan each activity for my babies, and I understand now how important it is to let them wander and pick things by themselves." (Parent of an infant)
No refunds for this workshop will be granted for any reason. Space is limited, which means that if you decide to take one of the spots, it’s yours even if you don’t attend.
Because the session will be recorded, you’ll still learn a ton from watching the recording several months after the live workshop is over!
Another thing: this workshop is for families who have an infant between the ages of 0 - 12 months developmentally (or if your baby was born premature or is experiencing developmental delays). If you are looking for developmentally appropriate activities, information, and ideas for a child outside of this age range, check out our additional class offerings!
If you’re not really sure whether this workshop is right for you, reach out to us at admin@strengthinwords.com and we will get back to you ASAP!
You’re able to maximize the time you have with your young child…
You’re empowered to “get it right…”
And you’re able to unlock the power of everyday routines and everyday objects to figure out how to play with your tiny human.
And mark this date on your calendar:
March 27, 2021 (10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern)
The session should be about 45 minutes
You're right! Ayelet Marinovich, M.A., CCC-SLP is the creator and founder of Learn With Less®. She is the host of the Learn With Less podcast, and the author of the bestselling books, Understanding Your Baby and Understanding Your Toddler, which lay the foundation for the Learn With Less® curriculum.
This session is led by one of our amazing licensed facilitators.
All licensed Learn With Less® facilitators have an educational/professional background in a field adjacent to early child development, and complete a rigorous training program and certification process to serve you with this amazing program.
As a pediatric speech-language pathologist, I’m the first to acknowledge that passive screen time in front of a device is NO replacement for real life interaction (with real people and with real objects).
What research has shown over the last few decades is that there’s a difference between sitting and watching a video passively and face-to-face interactive experiences (like a call with grandparents, or a virtual music class) — especially when that child is supported by a present caregiver, who’s able to man the device and engage responsively with what the child is doing.
The workshop will be extremely interactive, and each family contributes to the experience (we weave your environment, materials, and interactions right into the sessions, themselves!)
So if both you and your child can be there live, awesome. But it will “work” with just you, AND you’ll also get recording of what we covered if you can’t make them, if you have a diaper explosion, or if nap time gets in the way. This is one of the assets of virtual classes!
Because of the limited number of spaces in the workshop and the reduced price for this truly hands-on training, no refunds will be granted.
We'd love that! At its heart, Learn With Less® is a local, community-based program for families to connect, where they are. We would love Learn With Less® to be accessible to every infant/toddler family who wants to participate, around the world.
If nothing else, the pandemic we're living through has shown us that we can't parent in isolation.

Using the 4-pillar framework of Learn With Less® (play, talk, sing, and move), we'll provide you with the how, why, and what so you can support all areas of your child’s development.
Our session will be focused around one of the 4 areas of baby development: cognitive, communicative, motor/sensory, and social/emotional development.
Within this session, we’ll be showing you (and you’ll be practicing together!) simple, practical ways to support those areas of development – finding new ways to think about materials you already have (everyday objects in your home) to help you play, talk, sing, and move more with your little one, within the time you’re already spending and with the energy you’re already expending
You’ll be building the confidence to let your child guide their own learning, maximizing your time together by coming up with simple, creative ways to quickly organize play materials to support all areas of your child’s development.
We’ll be sharing strategies and tips to help your child communicate to reduce negative behavior and minimize (everyone’s) frustration.
You’ll discover the developmental basis for simple activities you may already be doing – helping you to reaffirm what you already know and do innately, and helping you to boost your likelihood to keep doing them!
