It’s easy to wonder whether there’s more you could be doing…

You know you should “connect,” but you’re exhausted – gathering internal resources to do anything “extra” for your child feels impossible.

The internet feels like fire hose of information – all you want to know is what is age appropriate, and how you stimulate your little one besides singing “Twinkle, Twinkle” again.

You’ve read a lot of “no’s” and “don’ts” for parenting – and you don’t want to be the authoritarian nay-saying parent… but what’s the other thing supposed to look like?

The truth is… you already have the resources to give your toddler the “right” stimulation, play, and interaction to thrive.

(and you can do it with the materials you already have — no extra time or energy needed)

And though we’re more physically distant than we’re used to, there are ways to get gentle support so you don’t want to pull your hair out…

And reassurance that you’re doing a really good job (and insight into how others are playing with their little ones).

And yeah, attending a toddler development/music class on the internet isn’t going to feel the same “socially” as it does in real life

✅  But if you’re the kind of person looking for a place where nobody’s giving you the side eye with their judgment about how you carry your kiddo (or 1571 other divisive topics in early parenthood)…

✅  If you want to meet others that allow you to put the idea of being a “Pinterest mom” to rest (and instead just give yourself a freakin’ break)…

✅  If you’d like to meet virtually with other families (who may not have showered for multiple days, who are feeding their little ones, changing diapers, and sharing real life) instead of comparing yourself to unattainable instagram or facebook posts…

✅  And if you’d like to discover different ways to interact with your toddler, and find resources to help you recognize the little things you can do to help her learn…

Then you’re the kind of person I’d like to invite to participate in:

Your Learn With Less® Live Virtual Toddler Development Class

An Interactive Toddler / Caregiver Family Enrichment Workshop

We’ll use the 4-pillar framework of the Learn With Less® Curriculum (play, talk, sing, and move)

To address 4 major areas of infant development (cognitive, communicative, motor, & social/emotional)

What Will You Learn:

Use what you already have to provide the appropriate support: how to provide an appropriate environment for your toddler’s development, staying just one step ahead to present enough challenge.

Find the confidence you’re doing enough: how to know (once and for all) that you’re doing “enough” for your toddler’s physical and mental development each day.

Maintain a life balance: find out how to do the tough job of balancing home, work, and caregiving duties while also setting aside time when your toddler is awake to actually focus on fun and educational things to do.

Relax and enjoy spending time: discover the confidence in what you have to offer without needing to find the newest and best “educational” toy.

Simply be present: discover how to find the energy to be present with your little one even when you’re feeling exhausted and depleted from work and everything else.

Gain access to others asking the same questions: how to feel like you know what your next steps are – with a sounding board of other caregivers and professionals – even if you feel like you’re isolated at home with a tiny dictator.

Workshop Details

WHEN: The workshop will be held on Sunday April 18 at 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern

Various concepts, songs, and activities will be covered, so you’ll want to watch and participate to maximize the impact of the activities with your child.

Your session will be recorded and uploaded so that you can benefit even if you can’t make it live (due to nap time, diaper disasters, or whatever else!).

WHERE: Our private Zoom room. The link will be emailed to you prior to the session.

SPACE IS LIMITED: I’m capping this workshop at 10 people. Once it fills up, I’ll consider adding more dates.

WHO IT’S FOR: Any parent/caregiver (and their toddler, 1-3 years), who wants to release the overwhelm and go from “winging it” to “winning” parenthood… and who know that the fastest way to learn is by doing.

Think your toddler might be napping or unable to attend live? That works, too – you can attend on your own, or watch the recording later! Hooray for virtual classes 🙂

* If you are a professional/educator working with children and families and NOT also a parent of an toddler, then this is NOT the program for you: Instead, I recommend this program (click here)!

“Ayelet has helped me see more clearly that we are already engaging in the kinds of activities that can make a huge impact on our toddler’s development….we already have the material we need. Ayelet’s words ring true for me; Pinterest can be helpful and fun, but we can’t forget that ‘it’s the experience of words, objects, people, and ideas in a variety of contexts, settings, and environments that support your child’s learning.’ Ayelet helps you understand and know ways to do so. Thank you!”
Josh Morgan

Father of a 20-month old

👋 Hi, I’m Ayelet Marinovich

I’m a pediatric speech-language pathologist, a singer, parent educator, theater person, story teller, and partner.

I’m also just another mom who’s dealing with sleep deprivation, poop, and tantrums.

Let me try to take out the prescriptive nature of “parenting advice”

Instead, I’ll supplant it with knowledge and ideas – helping you create your own moments to enrich your experience as a family.

A few people who can vouch for my work:

“Because Ayelet is a certified pediatric speech-language pathologist as well as a musician and a mom, she not only backs everything up with scientific research, she also includes creative activity ideas — none of which require expensive toys, just everyday household objects. Ah, the joys of banging a laundry basket drum!”

Steffi Wu

Mother of a 13-month old

“As a working (special education teacher) mama of a 2.5 year old that is a late talker, you can bet I am picky about what I choose to take on due to time limits and philosophy conflicts. This is to say I was struggling to find resources to support her in ways that did not frustrate the teacher in me because, well, let’s face it: It has to be fun for her to be into working on the skills she lacks. This gave me the sanity I needed to support my Little in her growth – with not only activities, but great advice around how to meet her needs and my own.”

Renee Pena-Lopez

Mother of a 2.5 year old, Founder, The Magic of Littles

“Ayelet lays it all out in such a simple way that it’s easy to feel like you’re doing the right things to boost your child’s development! And you don’t have to buy a bunch of junk to do it! She lays out simple, fun activities that you can do with your toddler with the stuff you already have laying around the house. And the activities are simple enough that they can work into your daily routine with ease. Plus, I know from my child development background that these activities are GOLD when it comes to helping your toddler grow and learn.”

Carrie Clark, M.A., CCC-SLP

CEO, The SLP Solution, toddler mom

In case you were wondering…

“What if I want more support for my specific situation or challenges beyond what will be covered in this  session?”

So glad you asked!

Here’s what this workshop will NOT cover:

  • Ongoing support for your questions, ongoing access to a community of like-minded families and educators
  • Just-in-time resources at your fingertips to share ideas, give your child(ren) enriching experiences, and learn how to support your child’s development
  • Parent education and support trainings around your biggest challenges: understanding infant and toddler development, setting limits and managing behavior, setting up the environment for learning, balancing needs, priorities and relationships… and much more
  • Ongoing virtual enrichment opportunities (like the one offered in THIS workshop!)

If you want more in-depth, ongoing trainings, more chances to connect and interact with me and with other like-minded families, and more hand-holding – this program is a better fit.

If you’re a professional/educator working with families and you’d like to offer the Learn With Less® Curriculum in your community, please apply here!

And here’s the rest of the fine print, which I’m making quite large because I always want to be up front with you:

No refunds for this workshop will be granted for any reason. Space is limited, which means that if you decide to take one of the spots, it’s yours even if you don’t attend.

Because the session will be recorded, you’ll still learn a ton from watching the recording several months after the live workshop is over!

Another thing: this workshop is for families who have a toddler who is between the ages of 1 – 3 years developmentally (or if your baby was born premature or is experiencing developmental delays). If you are looking for developmentally appropriate activities, information, and ideas for a child outside of this age range, you may be better suited for this program.

If you’re not really sure whether this workshop is right for you, reach out to us at admin@strengthinwords.com and we will get back to you ASAP!

“Ayelet helps teach you how to maximize your interactions with your toddler through things you already have: your body, your voice, and a few simple objects in your daily life. So many times I thought to myself, ‘well that seems easy and doable,’ or ‘what a good idea!'”

Brooke H.

Mother of an 18-month old

When you learn to recognize the tools you already have to boost your child’s development,

You’re able to maximize the time you have with your young child…

You’re empowered to “get it right…”

And you’re able to unlock the power of everyday routines and everyday objects to figure out how to play with your tiny human.

Take simple, everyday things you encounter

Use them in different ways

Exploring them with your child

Guiding your child to explore with you

And mark this date on your calendar:

Sunday, April 18 at 10am Pacific

This session should be 45 minutes

Got Questions? I’ve Got Answers!

❓ But isn’t (even more) “screen time” bad for my child?

As a pediatric speech-language pathologist, I’m the first to acknowledge that passive screen time in front of a device is NO replacement for real life interaction (with real people and with real objects).

What research has shown over the last few decades is that there’s a difference between sitting and watching a video passively and face-to-face interactive experiences (like a call with grandparents, or a virtual music class) — especially when that child is supported by a present caregiver, who’s able to man the device and engage responsively with what the child is doing.

❓ Do both I and my child need to be present at this session?

The workshop will be extremely interactive, and each family contributes to the experience (we weave your environment, materials, and interactions right into the sessions, themselves!)

So if both you and your child can be there live, awesome. But it will “work” with just you, AND you’ll also get recording of what we covered if you can’t make them, if you have a diaper explosion, or if nap time gets in the way. This is one of the assets of virtual classes!

❓What does the workshop cover?

Using my 4-pillar framework (play, talk, sing, and move), I’ll provide you with the how, why, and what so you can support all areas of your child’s development.

Our session will be focused around one of the 4 areas of toddler development: cognitive, communicative, motor/sensory, and social/emotional development.

Within this session, I’ll be showing you (and you’ll be practicing together!) simple, practical ways to support those areas of development – finding new ways to think about materials you already have (everyday objects in your home) to help you play, talk, sing, and move more with your little one, within the time you’re already spending and with the energy you’re already expending

You’ll be building the confidence to let your child guide her own learning, maximizing your time together by coming up with simple, creative ways to quickly organize play materials to support all areas of your child’s development.

I’ll be sharing strategies and tips to help your child communicate to reduce negative behavior and minimize (everyone’s) frustration.

You’ll discover the developmental basis for simple activities you may already be doing – helping you to reaffirm what you already know and do innately, and helping you to boost your likelihood to keep doing them!

❓What if I’m not happy with the workshop? Can I get my money back?

Because of the limited number of spaces in the workshop and the reduced price for this truly hands-on training, no refunds will be granted.

“I want to feel like I’m doing something for my baby, and I don’t know if I’m doing enough or doing it right. You’ve taught me that I already am doing it, and with your resources, you’ve given me the tools to do it. That truly motivates me. I’ll probably end up doing more for my kid in the long run by doing all the little things you’ve suggested!”
